Now I know that the number "SIX" doesn't sound like a lot. Just half a dozen -- that's barely enough eggs for anyone, right? But six boys at a birthday party? Six seems like a lot more with a bunch of nine-year-olds (and a five-year-old brother who thinks he's nine).
We kept them busy with an "amazing race" adventure involving bikes and basketballs, rocket balloons and water balloons. Somehow, when boys are all in a bunch, it seems that the energy they generate expands exponentially.
Therefore, my BSM for the week captures the single moment they were still: when I lined them up execution-style, against the wall...
Notice the targets on the wall? The red detritus on the ground? Left over from water balloon target practice...ah, the joys of childhood.

I love the look in their eyes!
how fun!
I am amazed you got them all to stand still long enough to take a picture. I also think your a brave women to have so many BOYS all at one time.
I am VERY impressed that you got them to be still for a shot at all -- let alone one where they are all looking and smiling! What a fun time...birthday parties are one of the best things about childhood!
It's amazing you got them all together for a shot! Fun times!
Happy birthday indeed! I simply can't imagine how tired they (and you) must have been afterwards! It looks like you put on a pretty stellar party!
If you can get six 9 year olds to stand still long enough, you have to capture it for posterity. I bet you those kids will be talking about this party for years and years (in case you're still exhausted and wondering if it was worth all that work).
Ha! Looks a little like a police line up with one guilty face in the middle.
Great shot - they look like they are having an absolute blast.
Looks like everyone had a great time. What a great idea for a party.
