Team-Up Thursday: Week Eleven

I chose COLOR this week in the hopes of finding some in our dreary weather. We had a nice mild winter this year, but Spring has come in with a ton of wet, cold weather. It's been bummin' me out. I still had trouble this week, and I have a guilty confession: I cheated. I had taken a flower photo and an Easter egg photo, and I couldn't pick. I finally decided the flower photo was bolder (it was red and yellow), so I sent it along to Melody on Wednesday. Then I got hers. And darned if the Easter egg photo wouldn't look SO MUCH BETTER!

So I quickly emailed her the other one. Yes, you are totally allowed to hang me up by my toes for fudging the rules a bit, but really...doesn't this diptych look good? I even did a colorful border...just to distract you from my cheating ways. It won't happen again.

color diptych week 11

What do you and your (non-cheating) partner have to show us today?

No hanging by the toes...we'll forgive you this time, since they really do look SO GOOD together!

I LOVE COLOR - great subject!!! Love your border too - both photos represent your subject so well. I love the top photo - can just see that confetti flying with one blow - and always in love with Easter eggs with their bright/vivid colors.
Well done, team!

This is a STUNNER! The border works so well and the two shots are wonderful on their own and perfect together.....and oops!!!! I didn't even realise there was a rule against this! In fact, I posted about our creative process this week!!! Perhaps you had better direct me back to the rule book. *blushing with shame*

Rules! Aren't they made to broken sometimes? LOL Love the combination!

Here's my first color(ful) diptych after a bit of a break.

I love color, how can I not take on your theme. And isn't it near the end of summer in Australia (Joanne?) I dunno.

Hi, I love this - what great ideas! I have put up Rose & my first diptych, using the theme Colour! You can see it here. http://joaphotos.blogspot.com/
In Australia we are in the middle of Autumn!

You felt so guilty, didn't you? ;) Well, I love what we came up with. I have to say, I like this one better not because of the eggs but because they are both horizontal! We chose the theme "color".

I am seriously LOL at the border color comment! :)

I think you did a most eggcellent job. (I've been wanting to use that cheesy line on something all week long.) ;) I'm also marveling at the non squished, non cracked variety of eggs you have there. Between my toddler and preschooler, we had lot's of "crackling" on our eggs. LOL!

Oh, almost forgot. Carrie and I did GROW this week.

I love them together. The way that the border ties both of them together is awesome. Great job!

This week we decided to do the letter E. Of course we were both Easter themed lol :)

The easter eggs do work so well, so all is forgiven! I love the blue border, too!

Ack my comment got lost when I clicked publish. So here goes again.

I know you may have cheated but I love the confetti shot, it looks like it's raining color rain drops down on those precious eggs. :) It is a great duo I can't say I blame you for cheating.

Here is me and Marty and our take on color this week.

Ok, I got confused, the confetti is Melody. Sorry I must seriously need more caffeine this morning. The kids may have kept me up too much along with the homework. Through the haze of confusion they are still both great. :)

Cheating isn't bad!! You just changed your mind! Great colorful captures and diptych.

I chose Pastel for our theme. But I think Lee wanted to kill me for it!

ibeeeg said...

Cheating? Well, the results are fabulous! I do love the eggs, love the use of the glass bowl. Your photo, what a neat idea to have a photo of confetti being blown towards the camera. I think I may try that, at some point.

Shari and I chose theme of Spring.
You can view ours at:
my blog and at Shari's blog.

Sometimes cheating is totally necessary. It's not like you're getting a grade for this.

Saj said...

Cheating is totally allowed! No worries!

We decided to use your theme as well, so here's what we came up with.

My pair and I might start our own blog if we keep at it, for now, we're just on flickr!

These are great together - the eggs and confetti are the perfect spring colors.

And I love the Easter egg messages. Very cool.
