Team-Up Thursday: Week Twenty-One (CHAOS)
Whew. This week was the perfect one for our theme because CHAOS has definitely reigned supreme. It's our last week of school -- today is the last day -- and combined with two family birthdays and Father's Day this weekend, it has been hectic.
My contribution to CHAOS comes straight from "Mismatch Day" at school. Couldn't resist photographing the plaids, checks and tie-dye all in the same picture (and on the same body, I might add). I wanted to grab a photo of someone's house that had been TPd Monday morning, but they had already cleaned it up when I got back down there with my camera...at 6:30 a.m.!
Now, if I had simply seen Melody's shot without knowing the theme, I would never have thought CHAOS. But knowing they were stuck in the airport (and on the airplane?) at the end of their vacation, it fits just perfectly.
Can't wait to see what everyone has come up with this week, particularly those of you who joined us in the world of CHAOS. Next week, we're attempting AFTER DARK. Should be a fun one!

what an interesting diptych. I'm not sure I could have guessed the theme, but it really does make sense when it is explained.
love your mismatch. So Colorful and happy. :)
Berta and I did AFFECTION.
Your colors are so happy...they almost don't even seem chaotic to me! Your pic is so bright and happy! This was a fun one...we played along with chaos, too!
I think Marcelle and I have to choose chaos next time and then I can show you what this means by MEEEE - just kidding- a very intersting theme and as you said - if not explained I wouldn't have thought about a chaos in Melody's photo.
Again you both did a great job - love your colors and Melody`s idea behind
Great theme and well shown in two very unusual way...I would have shown something totally different, but love how you both thought out of the box.
That's the thing, chaos can be tricky to photograph. I can totally feel Melody's sense of chaos in their trip. I love what you did, too.
I think I was more traditional in my chaos this week.
LOVE your photos - an interesting take on it! Love coming by to see how we all look at topics so differently. Great job.
Corey and I did affection! Crazy!
Cara and I chose shoes as our theme this week. Chaos would have been fun. We may have to do that soon. I love the plaid and tie-dye combination.
Shoes
Tina and I chose down-low as out theme this week. Do you ever start with an idea in mind for your theme and end up with something totally different?

I"ll be back to browse this weeks dips after i get a run in before it gets too hot :)
Two very different takes on a difficult theme. The two pictures together are on opposite ends of the spectrum - colorful and neutral. But hey, that's what chaos is!
Lee and I chose Summer Fun today.
Yep, CHAOS it is. Summer vacation is filled with it. I'm back though!
So often my summers are filled with chaos, so this is a nice kick off to the season. Mismatch day, what fun! :)
Carrie and I went with Chaos this week too.
Airports breed chaos, good thought there. :) And I know about mismatch day, my daughter calls it clash day. Now there's a picture I should have dug up to share too.
Here is Marty and my take on CHAOS with an added bonus for any wine drinking Dad's out there.
I got the mismatch day but I never would have made the end of vacation connection. Great dip!
I used to love mismatch day at school! I hope the boys enjoyed it as much as I used to.
Here is the latest in the alphabet diptychs.
I love how explanations change a photograph. great job this week ladies! I had too much actual chaos in my world this week to be able to participate. Next week sounds fun with "after dark" !!
For me, Chaos would just be a self portrait! I particularly enjoyed your chaotic colour and pattern grab. JoLyn and I have 'made it' this week. We did Speed.
I love both your takes, I can totally relate to Melody's after traveling a few weeks ago.
I should have done Chaos since that seem to be the definition of my life at the moment.
Jen and I did shoes and I love it!
Wow what different interpretations of the theme and I love them, shows real creativity...def a theme I will remember to try out soon.
Thanks for sharing!
