BSM: Guy Grid

I'm not posting a "best shot" this week; instead, I'm posting a glance at the little project I've been working on: the guy grid. I'd seen a fantastic wall somewhere that a woman had created showcasing a nine-grid wall of pictures in her living room. I loved the idea.

This summer, I happened upon a package of three square frames at IKEA marked down to $3.99...so I bought three packages, of course. (You know I can never pass up a deal :).

Armed with a can of black spray paint, I finally got them painted a few weeks ago. Then, the hard part: I had to choose what to put in them. Not like I don't have enough photos (LOL).

I decided on a collage of boy parts: faces, feet, whole bodies in action. I'm still not sure if I like this arrangement exactly, but I definitely like the overall effect.

Obviously, it's still on the floor. This week's project of getting them all hung precisely seems a bit daunting; maybe I can start a new floor art trend...

What do you think? (I posted it large so you can see the individual photos)...

Why is it so hard? I have the frames, too. Just trying to make the big leap. Love it, though. Wanna see it up.

I bet it was hard to choose the photos. What a great set for the home.
This idea is awesome. The size looks unique? If you don't mind my asking, they look square?
Anyways- Glad that you shared.

I love it! Ikea is the BEST place for inexpensive frames like that! I have 26 frames from IKEA to frame an alphabet set for our playroom!

That's a great idea. I have so many digital photos that I never do anything with. I think the ones you chose are just perfect.

I love it! It's so hard to choose the right pictures for frames (or one of those big collage frames) - I'm constantly switching ours out. But I think these choices are great - so much impact!

I love the head shot and the one with his legs/feet. Even body parts like that are so special. I think it will look wonderful and is a great idea.

I love it, as soon as I saw that I said to my husband I want to do something like that. I have been wanting to put up pictures in the house but I don't want to do a wall of portraits.
I am inspired.
