January is always a tough month. The holidays are over, and warm, sunny weather seems so far away. So it's been nice to watch the progress of my amaryllis bulbs. I received them as an early Christmas gift this year, and watching them grow and now flower has been a real treat. Two of the bulbs produced scarlet blooms and the third white flowers.
They give me hope that spring WILL come :)...

One thing I wish we had more of....Spring. I have family in MO and their Spring is so pretty. Sure, we have nice weather most of the year but it's the same.... You have lovely blossoms to look forward to!
:)
I love your new blog layout!! It looks fab. And I love this shot too. So cheerful!
Beautiful shot. I find myself already longing for spring too.

Oooow. So beautiful and soft looking. I would love to watch these bloom in the winter. You are so lucky! The hues and processing are great too.
yep...it will come. that is an amazing macro shot!
So pretty! I've just been thinking I should probably plant some bulbs soon...hope it's not too late.
The photo is beautiful, the blog layout is fantastic!! come over and make mine bigger.
Ooooh! Pretty! You're absolutely right about January!
I love the colors in your photograph! Our Amaryllis is still in the beginning stages...
Beautiful shot there!
Beautiful! I was going to do that again this year, but we forgot to get some. I don't know if you've had one before, but after the flowers wilt and die, just cut the stalk off at the bulb and it should grow another new one. We were able to get 3 blossomings out it last year. Once it just grows a bunch of green stalks it is done.
thanks for the tip, stacy. i thought it was just one & done till next year.
