I've been dying to get the kids out for a "playing in the leaves" portrait day like I did last year, but it hasn't happened. I had to take what I could get:
Me: Hey kids, let's go out and play in the leaves in the backyard before I rake them up!
Them: Blank stares.
Me: Come on, it'll be fun! You can throw leaves at each other and jump around and I'll take pictures!
Owen: No.
Me: Please?
Them: OK.
Are you sensing their enthusiasm? Once we got out there, they did have fun. Until Owen got in trouble and had to go back in the house, and then Harrison got bored.
But I got a few pictures. Really, a few is all I need to feed my habit. At least for today...

I love the second one, he really pops with the dark jacket on and the neutral blurred background.
I too did the same, I use to play in the leaves every year as a kid. Why don't they like it? I hope it is a tradition that they like.
the top shot looks like the christmas card to me! : )
If only we had leaves like that to play in! I agree with Tracey, that first one is so fun! the second one is a framer though.

They are all great. Those are some big leaves. It looks like you conjured up some enthusiasm.
Gorgeous shots and those leaves are beautiful. I have never seen leaves so large.
