I've been thinking a lot about friends this week because I'm getting ready to go away for my annual "Girls' Weekend" this Thursday evening. It's a treasured event, one I look forward to all year long. Four to six women (depending on the year), some of whom I only see over this weekend. I bug them mercilessly with my camera, so I'll be posting pictures after the trip :).
With friendship on my mind, I snuck outside on Friday, trying to be ever-so-quiet, when I saw Harrison and his best friend sitting and chatting, content as could be. I got one shot off before they turned around, so then I had to get them to smile for the second shot. You can see that Harrison has his "yeah, whatever Mom" pseudo-smile; but Will seemed pleased and was happy to offer a great big grin.
I definitely need new victims...ah, I mean subjects...for my photography habit :)!

Very cool... love both of these shots.
That first shot is awesome!
Your girls weekend sounds like fun - enjoy!
Something he'll treasure for awhile. Very nice. And nice that you are getting away. A little jealous here.
Oooh, have a fantastic time at your girls getaway! That is awesome - and I'm jealous.
I adore that first picture. Such a wonderfuf moment captured.
Congrats on the girl's weekend... Wow.
I love these photos. Both of them! The first captures friendship. The second, as you point out, captures the subtle nuances of child-mother relationship. How hard it is for Harrison to smile... how easy for Will.
That Girls' weekend sounds awesome. Have fun!
Great photos, I know that it's just a matter of time before I go through that with my Harrison.
Then what will I take pictures of??
Your boy may think "whatever mom" now but he'll appreciate the photos later! Great shots!
Both are great shots, but that first one is just priceless! He'll grow up to be glad you took so many pictures...
I like the shot from behind. The friends idea must have been contagious this week.
they're both great but the first one is for sure a keeper!
happiness today to my friend.
Trust, faith, love and smile
Lead you to happiness.
