Weekly Theme: Legs, and Arms, and Feet, Oh My!

Yep, I got stuck on the "legs" idea, so go capture some body parts this week for Theme Thursday. Here's one of my favorites from a couple of years ago:

Theme Thursday: Faces

I did a photo shoot yesterday, and this shot seemed perfect for today's theme:



That cute little face peeping out from between her mom's legs. Maybe next week I'll make the theme "legs"...I could use the same shot.

Theme Thursday: Transition

Transition: When both your kids scoot off to school in the morning...all by themselves!

BSM: The TP Chronicles

We had Owen's birthday party this weekend: 10 kids and chaos -- what could be better? The last game we played was the "mummy" game, where your team tries to wrap one member from head to toe in toilet paper. Not so successful, but loads of fun:



Owen and his team try their hands at wrapping. None of the kids could figure out how to keep wrapping without having the TP break.

But seriously, how cute is this?



Of course, at the end, it disintegrated into this:



Then, being the mean mom I am, I made them clean it all up before they could claim their goodie bags. Worked like a charm :).

School: Day One

Owen was SO excited about school, and I'm excited for him. He told me this morning that I didn't really need to go with them...but I did anyway. We got to school and Owen dropped his scooter and helmet and went running into the building, "Bye Mom!" I had to call him back for a hug and make sure he could find his classroom.

I snuck in at 8:30 when the bell rang to be sure he'd made his way there. He had.

BSM: Wishes

Owen is six today. Where does time go? It certainly isn't spent taking photos of Owen on his special day. He allowed me exactly one press of the shutter this morning for his birthday photo:



Then he ran away.

"The Last Hurrah" Week

School starts next Tuesday, and the kids & I have been busy celebrating the last days of summer. Today was beach day:
