Theme Thursday: Passages

If this theme had been a couple of weeks down the road, I probably would have posted about the kindergarten rite of passage and Owen's sixth birthday. But it's this week, so I'm looking at another birthday instead.

My BFF Kathy turns the big 4-0 on Monday, so I thought I'd celebrate here on the blog.

BSM: The Cowhand

We had a fun vacation with friends in Sunriver this past week. The kids went non-stop: biking, swimming, even riding horses. Actually, the moms went non-stop, too. After almost five days together, Harrison and his friend Brady asked if they could have a playdate while we unpacked the cars from the trip. :)

Boating Outtakes: Our Adventure

I captured many cute shots of the kids tubing on the lake last weekend. But I really hadn't had a chance to go through all the photos and describe our boating adventure in detail...so here are some highlights:



The boat trailer blew a tire...Owen was helpful in assessing the situation.



Yep, it blew out within spitting distance of the boat ramp turn off. Fortunately, we were able to take a tire off someone else's boat trailer (no, we didn't steal it). It only added a couple of hours to the trip :).

Once we got out on the water, the fun began. And the brotherly love was obvious:

Now the kids want a boat so we can go out every weekend.
